Vroom Vroom and WCMD

Happy World Card Making Day!

Maybe you've got a group activity planned, or you are going to join in some of the online fun - whatever card-making goodness you have planned today, enjoy!

Speaking of goodness, I've got some to share with you right now!

Today is Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge day, and here is today's sketch:

I think someone had me in mind when they drew up this sketch! Nothing like a wide open space to create your own background - my favorite.  I thought I'd take the opportunity to combine this with the current Embellish Magazine Challenge, since it was about background stamping, too!  Here is my card:

So cute, huh!? Perfect for a little nephew who just happens to be turning two!  Half Pint Heroes was my sure-fire go-to set - what little guy doesn't like to see himself in the driver's seat?

I stamped the convertible repeatedly on Going Gray cardstock (I like to start in the middle and then work my way out - this is where a lined block and some grid paper come in handy!).  Then I stamped the car again onto scrap cardstock, colored it with Copics and cut it out.  I really like how it turned out!

To help you celebrate World Card Making Day (and maybe to help jump start your Christmas card-making), Waltzingmouse Stamps is having a little contest. Claire has drawn up a beautiful digi image just for you! By using the image and then linking up your project, you have the chance to win a free stamp set! The image and additional details can be found on the WMS Blog. And since I love ya so much, here's a little peek.. again using today's sketch.

Have you ever seen anything more darling than Harriet? Oh, I love her with her fur cuffs and collar!  The background was stamped with the large border stamp from Very Vintage Christmas.  Harriet was printed out and colored with Copics.  I added some stitching, some baker's twine that I vintaged up with Antique Linen reinker, and an old button.  I added some sparkle, too!

The sketch challenge will remain open until Thursday, 11:59 EST. You can link up your entry on the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog. Top Mice will be announced along with the new sketch next Saturday! Be sure to visit the blog and check out what the other DT members and Mischief Makers have created for the sketch challenge!

Have a great day!

Anya
