Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release Day Hop

Hi there - you've made it!

Today is release day! The three new stamp sets and four gorgeous snowflake dies that we have been sharing for the past few days are available for purchase in the Waltzingmouse Stamps store.

If you'd like to catch up on what I've created, check out my posts from Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.

You should have arrived here from sweet Laurie Schmidlin's blog. The waltz starts over on Claire's blog, so be sure to head there if you're just popping in.

This month we are switching things up with a new Pin It to Win competition! I hope you checked out all the details when visiting Claire - if not, head back to the WMS Blog for the info on this new contest!

My last card for today features some more elements from the Little Deer set.

I really love those tree images, and especially like the little cardinal perched on the branches. I cut the bird from patterned paper, and paper pieced the stack of presents. The cute sentiment is the perfect finishing touch.

There are so many possibilities with the sets being released this month - I will have more to share over the coming days and look forward to you stopping back!

I hope you have enjoyed the countdown for this month's release. The products are now available for sale in the Waltzingmouse Stamps store.

My friend Jeanne Jachna will be your next stop along the hop, don't forget to check out the details for our new contest! Take care!

Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release, Day 3

Hi there!

Today I am back with Day 3 of the countdown for the September Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. Today is our last day of previews, tomorrow the new release will be available for purchase!

Today the set we are previewing is called Warm Fuzzies. I am sure you have seen how the other sets in the release compliment each other and Warm Fuzzies is no different. These three sets really play so well together and give you all sorts of possibilities for combining them.

The main character in this set is a cute little bird, he is featured in two sizes... for my first card I used the smaller version (I love this guy's hat!)

I started by stamping one of the images from the Country Labels No. 4 set, then die cutting it. The little guy was stamped onto the label and again onto scrap so I could color him and adhere him with dimensional adhesive. I created a strip of patterned paper using some cute tree images from the set. The sentiment, of course, is also from the set.

My next card was made using some of the snowflake images that are in the set.

I chose a non-traditional color combination just to mix things up a bit, but I love the soft pink and kraft together with these delicate snowflakes. The sentiment is another from the set - don't you love that beautiful font?

That is all for me today, I hope you have enjoyed the previews of the new sets. Tomorrow we'll have our traditional release day blog hop, and also be announcing a new contest! In the meantime, be sure to check out the other DT blogs to see their amazing creations!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow!

Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release, Day 2

Hi there!

Today I am back with Day 2 of the countdown for the September Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. In case you haven't heard, WMS is now moving forward with a static release date! Each month, sneak peeks will start on the 22nd, previews will begin on the 25th and finish with the release day hop on the 28th. It is going to be great!

We still have a few days of previews before the sets will be available for purchase on September 28th. If you didn't see my post yesterday for the Little Deer set, you can check it out here or see all the DT creations on the WMS Inspiration Blog!

Today the set we are previewing is called Frosty in the Pines. Frosty is a jolly guy - sized perfectly for a card front and with nice thick lines for coloring or paper piecing! The set also includes three different sized pine trees, styled with a modern slash primitive look - how's that for fun??

I stamped Frosty onto Oatmeal cardstock and cut him out, then paper pieced his outfit and his little birdie friend :) I used the Offbeat Backgrounds stamp set to create some coordinating plaid patterned paper.

My next card today features two of the four snowflake dies that will be available this month. Oh my goodness, let me just say that these dies are amazing. They are so detailed and beautiful! Claire shared an amazing poinsettia using the Snowflake One die yesterday on her blog. You need to see it!

I die cut the snowflakes from patterned paper and adhered them to a card base that I had stitched some lines on. That's it! I let these beautiful dies take center stage, and just added a little rhinestone accent and called it done! Really, I can't say enough about how amazing these dies are and I really look forward to using them more!

So that will do it for me today, I hope you will take a few minutes and peruse the other ladies' blogs to see what they did with Frosty, too!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow with Day 3!

Waltzingmouse Stamps September Release, Day 1

Good Morning!

Today I am happy to bring you Day 1 of the countdown for the September Release at Waltzingmouse Stamps. In case you haven't heard, WMS is now moving forward with a static release date! Each month, sneak peeks will start on the 22nd, previews will begin on the 25th and finish with the release day hop on the 28th. It is going to be great!

So for the next four days the Design Team will be sharing previews of three new stamp sets and complimentary dies that will be available for purchase on September 28th.

This month we are delving right into the holidays! The set we are previewing today is called Little Deer. I have two cards to share with you today. The first uses the namesake little deer, along with some of the other fun elements from the set.

I started this card by stitching some Shimmery White cardstock onto my base to create the look of snowy hills. The deer, birch trees and ornament were all stamped, cut out and adhered with dimensional tape. This set is so perfect for creating a little scene. There are some other great images in the set that can be combined with the trees and deer for a fun little vignette.

For this next card, I focused just on the branches and turned them horizontally for a more modern take.

I started this card by stamping all of the trees directly onto the cardstock. Then I liked the look of the branches popped up that I stamped them all again so I could cut them out. I can't help it! Some people like coloring, I just really love fussy cutting! :) I added a little glitter on the branches to create the thought of sparkling snow.

So a few housekeeping items... cut files will be available with this month's release. Claire will be sharing more details about those on the WMS Blog as well as some information about new bundle offerings in the store. Also, each day of the previews will be highlighted on the WMS Inspiration Blog if you'd like to catch everything in one spot. But if I were you, I'd head on over to visit these other lovely ladies, who have created some gorgeous projects for today!

Anya Schrier - you are here!

So glad you stopped by! See you tomorrow with Day 2!

WMS September Pajama Party

Good evening - do you have your jammies on? Its time for the September Waltzingmouse Pajama Party!

You can find all the details of the four different challenges for tonight's party on the WMS Blog. That is also where you can link up your creations - the links are open through tomorrow evening.

The DT has joined in for some of the challenges, I have put something together for the 'Old Pajamas' challenge. We are reviving an older set - this month we are using the beautiful Seasonal Flourish stamp set.

I am feeling particularly fond of plaid again now (must be this cooler fall weather we're having) and I paired the Warm Wishes sentiment with some homemade plaid using Offbeat Backgrounds.

The little teacups are from the Afternoon Tea stamp set and were paper pieced. Very cozy, no?

So I hope you will be able to join us for the party. There are four challenges and a shot at a huge prize! I hope you'll join us!

Thank You

Happy Saturday!

Today I have a card I made for this week's Viva la Verve sketch challenge.

Charmaine is hosting this week, and she has provided a fabulously versatile sketch.

Here is the card I created, taking the opportunity to stamp my own patterned background for the large focal piece.

And who doesn't love a good sentiment banner? ;)

I used the Autumn Splendor set, but there are lots of other great leaf options in Verve sets that would also look great for a technique like this.

If you'd like to join us for the sketch challenge, please head over to the Viva la Verve sketch challenge blog. You can find all the details on how to upload your creation and be eligible for the monthly prize!

I hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks a Bunch

Good morning, I have a little card to share with you today that I made for the most recent Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge. It seems like I need a little help whenever I sit down to make a card any more, so when I saw what Claire had made, I jumped on their sketch challenge as well.

Here I combined the newly released Hello Happy Thanks with the Simple Sprig set.

Instead of using the sprig image as is, I decided it would flow better on the card to snip the leaves apart. I added some of the rose and berry images to accent the leaves and tie the colors together.

This Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge is open until Thursday if you have the chance to join in!

Take care,
