Just a Little Note

I am in love with today's card.

(I think it has something to do with using Background Basics: Tin Types. I love that set.)

I even finished the inside, too! I rarely do that, but I was making a few cards for my Mom. Simple design, but ties in nicely with the front.

The card details are below if you're interested.

So, I've been keeping a whopper of a secret from you guys (mostly because I'm terrified to admit that its actually happening)! But, I have to come clean now. In a few weeks (eek! less than two), I am taking my first trip overseas. My college roommate and I are going to Europe! I am not a huge fan of flying, I can't say I do it often, but I have flown a handful of times. I think I'm getting myself worked up over the long flight that we'll have and not really thinking about the rest of the trip. So hopefully some talking about it will help. I plan to schedule some posts while I am gone, and am looking into the possibility of blog updates while I'm away. We are starting our trip in London (where I have relatives) and then heading across the North Sea to Amsterdam, Brussels, and Brugge. While we're there, we are going to meet up with another of our college roommates who will be traveling for work. It is exciting and terrifying, and I thank you for letting me share! Hopefully as the next few weeks fly by, I will start to feel ready for it!

Have a great day, you guys are the best!

What a fabulous trip--I'm sure your flight will go smoothly and those are all amazing places to visit! Bruges is like a storybook village! Hope you have a great time!

  2. Love your pretty card Anya - what lovely light coloring and that flower is gorgeous - your mum will love this!

And how fun you are taking such a wonderful trip! It's been my experience that the longer the flight the better the trip because you are up so high it's very smooth riding and mostly the lights are dimmed so you sleep! The worst part is on the ground going through all the security stuff! You will just love it I know - it is so wonderful experiencing other countries and seeing all the beautiful scenery!

    I'm jealous!!!

  3. Love your card Anya. It's so sunshiny.
I completely understand your nervous excitement about your trip. I've been to England/Europe several times and I still get a little nervous before flying. Just prepare for your flight and then focus on the fun you'll have at the other end. Make sure you drink plenty of water on the plane, enjoy the movies, take a good book or magazines or puzzles, and try to get some rest on the plane. Also, take along a favorite snack - a treat can break up the monotony of the long flight!
You'll LOVE London! So many magnificent sights to see. Have fun.

  5. Just love your card, such pretty soft colours.

Your trip will be fine, it's the safest form of transport! I feel the same way about flying, and we went to florida in October last year, now I can't wait to go back! Have a great time Px
