Spooky Swag

Woohoo! A Happy Friday to you!

Today I thought I would share a little home decor I put together recently. I was playing around with Very Vintage Christmas from Waltzingmouse Stamps (oh, don't sound so surprised ;P) and I wondered how the tag image would look stamped on orange.. and this spooky thing was born!

You can click on the above image for a larger version. I will also include some close ups at the end of the post.

I stamped the tag image onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock with black ink six times and cut each of them out. I then cut an oval out of regular paper to use as a mask for the center and then stamped some of the images from the Halloween Party set in the center of the tag. You'll be able to see those better in the close ups. I added the sparkly chipboard letters, an antique brass rivet, and some fishing line to hang the tags from.

The swag-gy thing is some twisty dried floral stuff from the craft store. I covered it with spider webs, added some ribbon and berries and a very spooky raven. There are also some sparkly spiders in there, but they didn't show up so well in the picture. I picked up all of those supplies from the Halloween section of a local craft store.

Here are some close ups of a few of my favorite letters:

Isn't it fun? It is a great addition to an old mirror I have hanging in the dining room. Total cost was less than $10. Lots of possibilities!

I'm not usually a weekend blogger, but tomorrow is World Card Making Day!

How could I pass that up? So, stop back tomorrow for more card goodness. If you'd like to participate in the WCMD Blog Tour, go here and add your blog to the list. See you then!
