Monogram Magnet

Well good morning!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing a preview of the July release at Waltzingmouse Stamps! This month, six delicious new sets are being released, and you are going to love them. I couldn't decide what I wanted to share with you first!

I decided on this one, a card with a built-in gift: a soldered magnet with the recipient's monogram (this one is for my mom, Robin).

I used two new sets on this card, Victorian Fripperie and Victorian Alphabet. As you can see, they compliment each other perfectly!

To create the magnet, I started by stamping the frame and monogram onto patterned paper. I fit this between two pieces of Memory Glass and soldered them together. There are some great tutorials online if you have never given soldered pieces a try. I recommend these from Simply Swank.

I added the charm to the front and a magnet to the back. There is a hole in the center of the circle on the card front that the magnet slips into. The recipient can just remove the magnet from the card, and voila! These make great gifts.

This month we are also adding a fabulously talented lady to the Design Team! I am so excited to welcome Carly Robertson! Carly has a simple, sophisticated style and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us. Please stop by her blog and say hello!

Claire is also offering another free shipping promotion this month. Please check out the WMS Blog for all the information.

Claire, Julia, Lisa, Carly, Jennifer, Laurie, and Edna (our special guest designer for July) are also sharing previews today. You won't want to miss what they are sharing.

So what do you think so far? Good stuff, huh?

I hope you have a great day, I'll be back tomorrow with more previews!
