I used some of the many applicable sentiments from Free Spirit - Sentiments to create my text background. The 'Congrats' and 'Class Of' and numbers are also from the Sentiment set. The graduation cap is from the Free Sprit - Boy set. The card was made in his high school colors.
Here is what the card looks like when it is open.
Instead of using ribbon to keep it closed, I created a little tab that tucks under the front of the card. Seemed a little more manly to me than a big ol' bow :)
I first found the pattern for this type of gift card here on Jen del Muro's blog. I have used it many times since then!
