Baby, its Cold Outside!

Happy last Monday before Christmas!

I hope you're enjoying the time leading up to the big day. Last night was my first round of baking for the season.

Yummy, yum, YUM!

Today I want to share a cute little card that is easy to put together with circle dies or punches.

Isn't he a cutie? I saw a snowman image like this somewhere and thought how easy it would be with my Circle Nesties! I cut three circles, each one smaller than the last, inked the edges a bit and then layered them onto my card with foam tape. I used a small dot stamp to create his face and buttons. His arms and nose were cut from scrap cardstock and his scarf is a few snips of ribbon. He looks like he's ready for a hug!

This month I was fortunate enough to have a card featured in both CardMaker and Paper Crafts Magazines. I just happened to have an extra copy that I would love to send to you! Please leave a comment sharing what you are most looking forward to this Christmas. Maybe it is time with your family, the giving of gifts, or maybe just that special 'feeling' this time of year has. On Thursday night I will randomly draw a winner to receive both issues and announce it here on Friday!

Have a great day!

Anya

I am most looking forward to seeing my oldest daughter's face when she sees the pile from Santa on Xmas morning. THis is the first year she actually understands everything, so I can't wait to watch her experience the magic!

  4. Anya - Congratulations on the cards featured in the magazines. I am most fortunate to have my family together this holiday. My son is home from college so my family is complete until January 11. We decorated our Christmas tree last night and I will be baking today so the house will smell heavenly. Blessings to you and your family this holiday!

  5. I was planning to comment even before I saw your treat. Congrats on your two publications and thanks for a chance to win.
This card is adorable and, except for cutting out those tiny branched 'fingers,' looks super quick to create. I think that I will be borrowing this idea.
I am most looking forward to seeing extended family over the holidays. Happy Christmas to you.

A white Christmas is always hoped for and we received 4 inches last night so it looks like I'll get my wish. Everything looks so pretty. I'm looking forward to time with my family and also the quiet peaceful time I share with my husband in front of the twinkling Christmas tree.

Merry Christmas, Anya! May you and your family be blessed with a joyful holiday season.

  20. Hello Anya,

Oh, this snowman is just amazing!! I love the way you made this, how he's looking up there, fantastic, what a cutie!!!
What am I looking forward these holidays, well, being together with the family! We spent 25th with my parents, grandpa and uncle and aunt and the 26th with Pim's parents and brothers and there we always prepare a course of the diner, per couple. That's fun and that way no one stands in the kitchen all day. I'm really looking forward to that again, soup for Pim and me this year! ;-) Just hope we can all drive everywhere safely, cause ther's lots of snow here... Hope you are doing well!!!

    Hugs, Wendy

  29. I just now noticed your very handsome snowman, and yes he SO LOOK LIKE HE IS READY FOR A HUG!!! I was wondering how you get him to look so profession with the greyish look around the edges. I make cards, but I don't feel like I "MAKE" cards if you know what I mean. I thoroughly enjoyed looking through your website.
