Happy New Year!! I hope 2011 is your best year yet. I am getting quite excited about a big trip that Bill and I are taking, which is coming up very soon! I'll share more about that later - for now I am going to hit the ground running here in the New Year.. I was a little lazy for the past week, but we're back in business!
Today
Lizzie Anne is releasing two new
Simply Singles for January.
The first is called
Love You a Latte, and it is so cute for Valentine's Day!

I paired this image with some patterned paper from
Cosmo Cricket's Chemistry collection, which is one of my favorites. I stamped the cup and saucer on the index sheet of the Crafting Kit to get the smaller scale pattern - a trick I learned from
Debbie Olson!
My next card uses the second Single to be released, called
Wise Man's Treasure. So appropriate for welcoming a new year!

I stamped the image onto my cardstock and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I used a few different Distress Inks to create the gradient background. I paired it with a card base that I had 'messy-stitched' with my sewing machine. I adhered the image to the card with my
Tiny Attacher (love this) and then added a few buttons. I really like the layout of this card, in addition to the message!
I'm so glad you stopped by today. Be sure to head over to the
Lizzie Anne Blog to check out the other previews of the new singles.
Happy New Year! Hopefully we'll be watching the
Winter Classic today!
