Hello there!
Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release Blog Waltz. Today, the two new Waltzingmouse stamp sets we've been previewing for the past few days (Country Labels 4 and USA 1776) will be available for purchase in the Waltzingmouse Stamps store.
You should have arrived here from the fabulously talented Laurie Schmidlin's blog. The waltz starts over on Claire's blog, so be sure to head there if you're just popping in.
As usual, Blog Waltz prizes are up for grabs! One winner will be randomly chosen from the comments left on one of the Design Team blogs, so let us know what you think of the new release! You have until 6:59 AM EST on June 1st to leave your comments. The winner will be announced on the WMS Blog on the 3rd.
Today, I have a little mash up of both new sets - Country Labels 4 and USA 1776 - for a patriotic card with a soft country twist.
I love making these strippy cards :)
I started by cutting a variety of strips all 4 inches wide. I like to vary the height on each to give it some interest. The colors sort of chose themselves, and I went with it. Each strip was stamped with an image or combination of images from the two new sets. I added some text background from Text It to help fill in some space.
I finished it off with a little bit of twine and a button to bring it all together. So sweet!
We have the whole Design Team joining us today for the hop, so I won't keep you. The DT members that did not participate in the release countdown will be sharing their inspiration throughout the month, so be sure to keep an eye out for that, especially as your new stamps start to arrive! Thank you so much for your visits and kind words over the past few days. It means so much to me that you stop by and share your thoughts.
Edna will be your next stop along the hop! Take care!
