Note for Teacher

Good morning! This week's Serendipity Stamps DT challenge was to make a card for a teacher or coach. Sounds pretty easy, right? But lordy, I had a heck of a time with this one!

I was most definitely overthinking things, and the gears started turning when I thought about making a shaped card. So here's what I put together, a note for teacher.

Fun, huh? I just sort of winged the whole thing, starting off with a base of kraft cardstock that I cut into a pencil shape. One thing I would do differently (or recommend that you do if you're inspired by this idea) is to fold the card horizontally and then cut it into the pencil shape. As it is now, there's barely a fold holding this together. Just a little word of advice!

It was helpful to look at a good old Number Two pencil while I was working on this, and I just pulled the bits together to recreate. I used the Quick Note Vertical sentiment which is good for just about a million different occasions!

Thanks for stopping by today, please be sure to visit the other Design Team members to see their take on this challenge! Since I struggled with this one, I'm really looking forward to seeing what goodness the others came up with!
