Monday Mini

Today's Monday Mini was a quick card that we made at Stamp Camp this month. I was inspired by the set of cards Valerie Stangle made. Here is the card I put together:

The finished size is 4-1/4" square. Not quite mini, but close enough. I changed a few things (size and colors) but kept the frame/leaf/butterfly collage the same. I loved the layered simplicity. Please check the recipe for the details.

In other exciting news, I found a light tent this weekend on clearance at Ritz Camera. A few stores in our area are closing, so I've been eyeing them for a while. At this point, they were 75% off and a steal compared to some of the prices I've seen online! I hope it improves my photos! My husband was incredibly helpful tweaking things (thanks, sweetie!) and I am really pleased with the result so far. There's nothing worse that making a card that you think is just great but having a difficult time getting a good photograph. I also found out that my new May PTI stamps have been delivered! Sorry, guys but I only live a few hours from Cincinnati! I'm off to play!

Have a great night and thanks for stopping by!

Monday Mini - Spring Fling Challenge

Happy Monday! Today's Mini is also for PTI's Spring Fling Challenge. I finally decided to use Lisa Johnson's picture for my inspiration. It was hard to choose!

I picked the color and images right from her picture. I turned to Wishing You.. and picked Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, and Plum Pudding. The card size is 3-1/2" square.

I stamped the tulip cameo image in Vintage Photo distress ink onto Spring Moss cardstock. I stamped and cut out the tulips from Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, and Plum Pudding. The scalloped oval was cut using my Nestabilities. The scalloped edge was punched using the EK Success Dotted Scallop Border punch. The edges were sponged with Antique Linen distress ink. I added a strip of Spring Moss and some adhesive pearls. That's it!

Thanks for stopping by - I appreciate your visit!

Monday Mini

Happy Monday everyone! I had a great time Blog Hopping with Papertrey Saturday night (and a bit on Sunday morning :) I hope you had a chance to take part.

Today I have another installment of Monday Mini. I love making mini cards, so I thought I'd make a habit of it! Today's card uses Damask Designs again.

The flower/flourish/spidery looking thing (my husband's term) is a combination of images from First Fruits. I stamped them with Palette Charcoal and SU!'s Going Gray, cut them out and layered them. The strip of Soft Stone was embossed using the Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder. The pearl embellishment is a brad from K & Co. (I think). I cut the pokey parts off and used a glue dot to attach :) It is a little hard to see, but I stamped one of the circles from Simply Stationary behind the flourish. It shows up better on a different angle.

The finished card size is 3-1/4" square - mini! I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by, I was really motivated to create this weekend, so I have lots more to share in the coming days.

Have a great one!
