Thankful Leaf

Hiya!

Thanks for joining me as we start another new week. It is hard to believe that we are into August already.

I will be the first to admit that fall is my favorite season, and I am beginning to get a little excited for its arrival! I have it on the brain, that's for sure. Today I thought I'd share a quick peek at a card that was published in the September issue of CardMaker Magazine.

To make this card, I die cut a mask then sponged on some inks. Before removing the mask, I stamped the leaf with Wplus9's Defining Words set. The September issue has step-by-step instructions for this card, so I encourage you to check it out!

I also have a second card featured using the Season of Thanks set from Wplus9, one of my all-time favorites. Have you been following their new release countdown? I think Happy Harvest may be a new fall favorite from them!

Trick or Treat

Hi there!

Just stopping in for a quick minute to share a card that was published in the September 2011 issue of CardMaker Magazine.

Halloween Party was the first Waltzingmouse set I ever bought, and I have been head over heels in love ever since!

The purple cardstock was stamped with the gothic font from Text It. This font is really quite versatile - it looks amazing with Halloween stuff, but also transitions so well to Christmas!

March 2011 CardMaker Pubs

Hiya chickies! How are you today? I didn't have anything new to share, so I thought I would share some cards that were picked up for publication recently. I was fortunate enough to have four cards published in the March issue of CardMaker Magazine.

For this beauty, I used the largest egg image from Nestie Eggs, embossed in gold and colored with Copic markers. This image is so elegant!

Adding color to an image like this is a great way to tie everything together. I love the combination of yellow and purple for spring. Here is another Easter card using Spring Baskets. This one is very bright and cheerful.

The eggs were stamped on Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper and then run through my Xyron and glittered. How do you like to add glitter to images like this? I think I might start using spray adhesive.

All My Love..

Hi! Have you seen this yet? :)

This is Card Creations Vol. 8 and now that it is on sale, I can share my first print-published card with you!

This sweet little one was made with Seasons of Love - Tags from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I stamped the decorative heart and then cut it out with the coordinating heart Nestabilities. I also used the scalloped hearts to create the card base.

I was excited this morning to see that Cath Edvalson featured my card on the Moxie Fab World Blog today, too. Eee!

The issue is overflowing with wonderful cards (273 of them!) and tons of inspiration. And speaking of publications, tomorrow I will be participating in the first Embellish Magazine Blog Hop! Trust me, you will want to stop back!!! Have a great night!
