Two Lovely RAKs

I just love getting RAKs in the mail. I have two that I received recently.

The first is from Mary - she was the winner of my Anniversary set giveaway. I love the multi-colored flowers and the combination of Summer Sunrise and Berry Sorbet. Mary, thank you so much for the thank you card, I love it!



The second card is from Jackie (Teal on the PTI forum). She sent me this beautiful RAK using Berry Sorbet and the Butterfly Kisses stamp set. I love all the polka dots. Thank you, Jackie, for the sweet sparkly card!



Its another hockey night here in Pittsburgh, so I'm not stamping again. Maybe I should have stamped.. this game isn't turning out so well! Hope your night turns out better!

A Quick RAK

I am beat. I really didn't get much R&R this weekend and work has been just overwhelming. I spent some time with a friend on Saturday, which was a lovely time, but then as soon as I walked in the door Bill called and asked if I could fill in at the store. Uh, no. I have a full time job already. I don't want to work on the weekend too. Of course I went. Then I was there on Sunday, too. So needless to say I didn't get much time to play around in my stamp room. I forced myself to get my Stamp Camp cards done for later this week and I hate the feeling of forced creativity. Thank goodness for card sketches.

I was delighted to check my mail on Saturday and receive this RAK from Jeanne. I love the little punched out flower over the ribbon. Thank you Jeanne, it is wonderful! So, that's all you guys are getting from me today. I have to attend a township meeting for work this evening (yipee!), so I've got to get myself out of here. Enjoy the lovely card and I will be back with something sometime soon, I promise!

I feel so loved!

I received two more cards from members of the PTI RAK Group this week. They are gorgeous! The first is from Heather, who is in Germany.

Thank you Heather, I really love the colors that you used. I did not order the Shapes By Design set during the last release, so its great to see some things made with it. Love it!

The second card is from Daisy, who used my favorite Women of Life set. I love the scallops and paper piercing.

Not Enough Hours in the Day...

First off, I want to apologize to Erin Bigler! I received not only a gorgeous card from her on Monday, but also goodies!

She sent me a Cuttlebug folder and my first *gasp* Copic marker! I am actually hesitant to try it because I am afraid I will fall in love and need all of them! Erin, I love it all. Thank you so much for thinking of me. Did you all see how adorable the ladybug is? It is beaded and very sparkly. I love it. Turns out Erin lives north of Pgh, probably about 40 minutes from me! How exciting!

Yet again, I don't have anything original to show you. I am working on a few things that I can't share right now and have had a busy past couple nights with scuba lessons and Stamp Camp, etc. This morning I was up at 4:30 am to travel for work. That was not fun. But tomorrow is Thursday and the weekend (and the PTI release) will be here soon. Nichole wowed us yet again this morning with more sneak peeks! I am off to finish up a few things and head to bed. Bill is getting sick, so I hope to avoid that. Have a great night!

My First RAK!

On Saturday, I received my first RAK (Random Act of Kindness) in the mail from Holly in Mass. Here it is!

Isn't it wonderful! Thank you, Holly, for the great card and also for the very nice note you wrote. You made my day!

Friday night, I went to see 1964 The Tribute, which is a Beatles tribute band. One of my brother's co-workers was sick and couldn't use her tickets so he called me to see if I wanted to come along. He had bought my parents tickets for Christmas, so all four of us were able to go together. It was incredible. I have only ever seen old Beatles footage from concerts, but it was everything I thought it would be! The singers truly resembled the original Beatles and the music was absolutely dead-on. I was raised on the Beatles, and have loved them all my life. Their music is classic and timeless. Bill and I had quite a few Beatles songs in our wedding playlist. I would recommend the show to anyone, it was really a great time.

I spent Saturday cleaning. My in-laws were coming for dinner on Sunday and I had neglected the cleaning for a while. I did do a little stamping, but it was for my upcoming Stamp Camp, so I don't have anything original to share today.

Today starts Papertrey Ink's countdown to new stamps! The 15th will bring wonderful new colors of cardstock, ribbon, and ink and new stamps as well! I am looking forward to the Friday night release party. Nichole is posting sneak peeks every day on her blog and has links to some other design team members that are also sharing new stuff! It is a very exciting time.
