Christmas Dove

Good morning, friends. Our power went out at home in the middle of the night last night, so we woke up with a start about 45 minutes late! Oops! I was grateful for the extra sleep, but didn't like the rushing that I needed to do to get out the door after that.

Today I have a Serendipity Stamps DT challenge to share with you. We were challenged to create a Christmas card using some of Serendipity's best selling Christmas stamps. Serendipity has a lot of fabulous Christmas images - you can find them here in the store.

I chose to use the Christmas Dove image.

This image is really large, so I knew I wanted to give it the opportunity to take center stage. And I have been waiting for a reason to use the new Wonder patterned paper collection from Authentique.

I started by stamping the dove image on both the green plaid paper (Curiosity) and a piece of Rustic White cardstock, which I colored using Copic markers. Then I cut out the colored image and adhered it to the plaid paper with dimensionals. The other patterned paper on the card base is called Expectation. I love this pattern, the flowers look very Scandinavian to me, and I've always loved that style for wintry things.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please be sure to visit the other Design Team members playing along today to see their take on this challenge!
